ivey hopes…

Praying for a mind that is steadfast, placing my hope in what He has promised…

  • “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3

  • “All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.  Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.  Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.  And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” 1 Peter 5:5-10

  • how I desire to tell Him, “My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music” Psalm 108:1
  • Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Proverbs 4:26

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

I want to be a light. A city on a hill. Give me your courage. Your words. Your joy. Your strength. Your heart. Your wisdom. Your love. The kind that doesn’t waver. It is steadfast. Would the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart reflect this, reflect You.

STEADFAST, STEDFAST, a. [stead and fast.]

1. Fast fixed; firm; firmly fixed or established; as the stedfast globe of earth.
2. Constant; firm; resolute; not fickle or wavering.
Abide stedfast to thy neighbor in the time of his trouble.
Him resist, sted fast in the faith. 1 Peter 5.
3. Steady; as stedfast sight.
