I will make for them a covenant
I will abolish the bow, the sword, and war from the land,
and I will make you lie down in safety.
And I will betroth you to me forever.
I will betroth you to me in righteousness
and in justice,
in steadfast love
and in mercy.
I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness.
And you shall know the Lord.
I will answer the heavens,
and they shall answer the earth,
and they shall answer [Gomer’s child]
and I will sow her for myself in the land.
And I will have mercy on No Mercy,
and I will say to Not My People, “You are my people”;
and he shall say, “You are my God.”
I found this lovely verse found on So I Bought Her today. I love when God gives me a happy like that… Here’s what He reminded me….
He reminded me how He loves. That He will make for us a covenant. A promise that cannot and will not be broken. He will take away forever our atrocities and clothe us with gladness. Forever. He will love us even though He knows exactly what we’ve done; He will love us despite our failures. My God is mighty to save, so mighty. He is strong and righteous. He is wonderful, faithful, merciful, and gracious. He is going to use me because of my failures, in light of my humanness, to make beauty out of ashes, for the glory of His name. And I will say, “You are my God.”
